Introducing myself

My name is Amornpun Sutipatanasomboon, nicknamed PANG. As I am writing this as part of the assignment from academic writing class, I completely forgot what I had for my homework.

As this is my first blog, so I must introduce myself a little for those who might coincidently pass by. I was born on January, 25, 1988. The same day as celebrities such as WWE's diva Michelle McCool, singer-songwriter Alicia Keys, NFL linebacker Patrick Willis of the San Francisco 49ers and British Novelist Virginia Woolf. I can be found on twitter @morgetha

I have a twin sister, her name is Puen. She can be found here @beamingbear

I was born in a middle-class family and live in a high-density suburban area, somewhere in Bangkok metropolitan area. My mother is a primary school teacher and my father had been fighting cancer for 5 years before he passed away in 2003. Therefore, we have been threesome in our family ever since.

Our family was unique in that we have very few things in common, especially our likings between me and my sister. Nevertheless there is one thing that our whole family loves about and my sister and I are really good at; it is English language.

If there is one thing that I was proud of during my academic years, it would have been my ability to efficiently communicate in English. The reason I say this is because I was so proud of myself to be able to get this far and confidence. But of course, it never takes one to succeed. Therefore, on behalf of the upcoming thanksgiving, I would like to thank my mom and dad who first instructed me with lyrics from these songs:

Bobby Bare - 500 miles

Neil Reid - Mother of Mine

And various songs from Carpenters.......Gosh, I feel so great listening to these songs. They remind me alot of my childhood days where my mom would play these songs and translated the lyrics to us while we were trying to sleep.

I believe that from those points on, listening to these songs from the very young age inspires me to become a better English communicator. Today, I still couldn't find one word to thank my mom just how much she evolves me to become the person I am today. Although I still feel that I lack a lot of things for myself to be mature now, I will try my best not to disappoint myself and most importantly, my mom. I love you so much.
